Metagrid: rank 2 out of 72 million entries!
Metagrid worldwide belongs to the most popular and most extensive catalogs of newspapers and magazines in the Internet. For years Google Germany ranks metagrid with top results searching the keywords newspapers and magazines.
Google worldwide even ranks metagrid at position 2 out of 72 million pages found with the search term “magazine”. The German version shows a google-pagerank of 6/10 (popularity scale), the US version shows a google-pagerank of 7/10 and thereby has the same pagerank as online auction platform eBay.de.
Metagrid was invented in the year 1999 by Hinnerk Brügmann and was administered by him in the first years. In company with Roland Beck the newspaper search engine Paperazzi was developped on the basis of metagrid. Today metagrid is operated by it-and-medien.de, which is run by Roland Beck.
